Spare room before cleaning: dust film on the walls, skirting, and new floor
Before
The same room after: clean walls and skirting, floor vacuumed and damp-mopped
After

Spare room, after two dust passes and a damp mop

The job

The room had a new floor and two coats of paint. The decorators had swept up, but plaster dust had settled on every surface and kept coming back.

What we did

Two people worked top to bottom: a dry dust pass with a HEPA vacuum first, then a damp pass on walls, skirting, and frames. Paint specks came off the skirting with a plastic scraper, and the new floor was vacuumed and damp-mopped twice with a neutral cleaner.

The result

The furniture went in the same evening. A white cloth wiped on the skirting the next day came away clean.

What the customer said
“The decorators left a fine dust everywhere. After one visit the room was ready for furniture.”
