What our customers say

  • A pro cutting trim at a saw bench
    Rated 5.0 out of 5

“Flat-pack wardrobe, a TV bracket on a stud wall, and a sticking sash window. He checked the wall with a detector before drilling, showed me where the cables ran, and finished in three hours. Everything was on one ticket with the half hours listed.”

  • Hands setting a tile on a wall
    Rated 3.0 out of 5

“Booked two hours to hang a mirror, a curtain rail, and fix a cabinet hinge. The rail went into an old plaster wall and took much longer than planned, so the visit ran to nearly four hours. The work is solid, but I would have liked a call before the extra time started.”

    —Ben A.

  • An open toolbox with hand tools
    Rated 5.0 out of 5

“A list of six small jobs: two doors that stuck, a loose towel rail, a shelf, a dripping tap, and a smoke alarm. He did them in two hours, priced by the half hour as quoted, and swept up the sawdust before he left.”

Questions about small jobs

Most visits run two to four hours. Here is what people ask before they send the list.

Not sure where to start?

Tell us what needs fixing and we reply with a time estimate and a price.

Contact us
Do you bring materials?

Common hardware, yes: screws, anchors, caulk, and fillers. You buy specific fixtures, or we buy them once you approve the price, at cost with the receipt.

What if it takes less than an hour?

Every visit has a two-hour minimum ($150 with our sample rates). Add more jobs to the list and we use the time.

What's too big for a handyman visit?

Licensed work such as electrical panels, gas, plumbing, or anything structural. We tell you which licensed trade to call.

Can I add jobs on the day?

Yes, if they fit the visit. The pro tells you the extra time first, billed to the half hour at the same rate.

Do you mount TVs on brick?

Yes, with masonry anchors when the wall is sound. Tell us the TV size and the bracket when you send the list.
