These terms apply to every visit you book with us, online, by phone, or in person. Please read them with our cancellation policy and privacy policy. If anything here is unclear, ask before you book.
Who we are
The services on this site are provided by Homio, 100 Example Street, Suite 200, Springfield, ST 00000. You can reach us on (555) 010-0199 or at hello@example.com. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Homio, and “you” means the person who books the visit.
Booking requests and confirmation
A request sent through this site, by phone, or by text is not a booking until we confirm it. We confirm by email or text with the date, the arrival window, the services, and the estimated price. If a detail in the confirmation is wrong, tell us before the visit.
By booking, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that you own the home or have the owner’s permission for the work.
Estimates and the final price
The price on your estimate stands, as long as the job matches what was booked. The price changes only when the job differs, for example:
- there are more rooms, or the home is larger than described
- you ask for extra tasks on site and agree the price with the crew
- the condition of the home needs much more time than a standard visit (we call you before going ahead)
Hourly work, such as handyman jobs, is billed to the nearest half hour after the first hour. Materials are charged at cost, with receipts. We never add a charge you did not agree to before the work.
Access, keys, and alarm codes
If you will not be home, tell us how the crew gets in: a key, a lockbox, a door code, or a concierge. Keys are stored with a code tag, never with your address, and only the crew on your visit can see access notes. Codes are deleted when your plan ends (see the privacy policy).
If the crew cannot get in, the lockout fee in the cancellation policy applies.
Pets, children, and valuables
- Please keep pets secured or in one room during the visit, and tell us about any pet that may react to strangers.
- An adult must be at home if children under 16 are there.
- Put away cash, jewellery, and documents before the visit.
- For safety, the crew does not move items over 20 kg (sample limit), such as heavy furniture or appliances.
Our guarantee
If something on your checklist was missed, tell us within 24 hours of the visit and we will come back and re-clean that area for free. Photos help us fix it faster. See our guarantee for the full details.
Damage and breakage
We take care, and our crews are insured. If something is damaged during a visit, report it within 48 hours, with photos if you can. We will repair it, replace it, or reimburse its current value under our insurance. We are not responsible for wear that was already there, items that were not secure, or damage caused by a fault in the item itself.
What we don’t do
For safety and licensing reasons, our crews do not:
- handle biohazards, such as blood, needles, or animal waste beyond a litter tray
- remove or treat mould beyond surface cleaning
- work at height beyond what a second-storey ladder reaches
- carry out licensed electrical, gas, or plumbing work
If a job needs one of these, we will tell you and, where we can, recommend someone who does it.
Payment
You pay after the visit. We charge the card on file once the work is done and send a receipt that lists each service. Homes need no deposit. Commercial work is invoiced as set out in your written agreement.
If a payment fails, we will contact you, and we may pause future visits until it is settled.
Non-solicitation of crew members
Optional clause: remove it if you don’t use it. While you use our services and for 6 months after, you agree not to hire a crew member who worked in your home directly, without going through us.
Liability, changes, and governing law
To the extent the law allows, our liability for any visit is limited to the price of that visit, except for damage covered by section 7 and for anything the law does not let us limit. Nothing in these terms affects your rights as a consumer.
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the current version, and the version on the day you booked applies to that booking.
These terms are governed by the laws of [your state or province]. Questions: (555) 010-0199 or the contact page.
