We started with one van and a written checklist.

I cleaned houses for six years before hiring anyone. The checklist I wrote for myself is still the one every crew uses, and I still read every review that comes in.

Ten years, one checklist

The company began as one person with a van, a vacuum, and a list taped inside the van door. Every visit ended the same way: walk the rooms with the client and tick the list together.

The first two hires learned from that list, and it became the checklist every crew still carries. So did the rule that a missed task gets a free return visit within 24 hours.

Clients kept asking whether we could also fix the loose shelf or clean the windows outside. We added each trade only when we had someone who could do it to the same standard, on the same ticket.

Four rules we don't bend

  1. Price it first

You see the full price before you share an address.

    In practice

The total on your ticket is the total on your receipt.

  2. Same crew, same list

Recurring clients get the same crew, working from the same written checklist.

    In practice

If your crew lead is away, we tell you before the visit.

  3. Fix it free

If something on the list was missed, we come back.

    In practice

Report it within 24 hours; the re-clean is free. Our guarantee

  4. Say what we don't do

Every service lists what isn't covered.

    In practice

We'll name a licensed trade when a job isn't ours.

How we hire

About one in nine applicants joins a crew. Here is what they go through first.

  1. Interview

A conversation about past work and a walk through our checklist.

    45 min

  2. Background check

Identity and criminal record check by an outside screening company, before any home visit.

    3rd-party

  3. Paid trial shift

A full day beside a crew lead, paid, in a real home.

    1 day

  4. Training

Paired visits until the crew lead signs off every room on the checklist.

    2 weeks

  5. Ongoing checks

Spot checks after visits, and the owner reads every review.

    Monthly
