The job
You take the small jobs that pile up in a home: a door that sticks, shelves to hang, a dripping tap, flat-pack furniture, a bathroom to reseal. You work alone in a company van across all four areas, from a job sheet the office prices with the customer before you arrive. If the job turns out bigger, you price the extra in writing before you start it.
A normal day
The office sends the day’s route the evening before, usually four to six jobs. The van carries a drill driver, a stud finder, sealant, fixings, and the common spare parts, so most jobs finish on the first visit. You photograph the work when you are done and close the job on your phone, which sends the customer the ticket. Lunch is yours to fit in between jobs; the day ends by 17:00.
What you need
- Three years of repair or maintenance work
- Your own hand tools (we provide power tools and parts)
- A driving licence
- A background check before the trial shift
- No gas, electrical panel, or structural work: we do not take those jobs
What we provide
- Pay every Friday
- A company van, fuel card, power tools, and a parts budget
- Jobs priced up front, so you never argue a bill at the door
- A paid trial day with our handyman lead
The trial shift is one paid day with one of our leads, on real jobs. At the end you both say whether it is a fit; if it is, you start the following week.
